Admission Steps

The Collision Repair Technology Program is designed to provide the technical and professional competence required for entry-level technicians. The program involves classroom and lab experience on Îá°®³Ô¹Ï vehicles and working at a new vehicle dealership or independent auto body shop. This is a limited enrollment program that only admits students in the fall semester.

  1. Apply to Îá°®³Ô¹Ï and become a Golden Eagle: Fill out the free online form to Apply to Îá°®³Ô¹Ï, then watch your email for your acceptance letter and instructions to get set up as a new student. 

  2. Take a mechanical reasoning test: All applicants interested in the Collision Repair Technology program need to complete the mechanical reasoning test in the Îá°®³Ô¹Ï Testing Center. You will need your Îá°®³Ô¹Ï student ID number and a valid photo ID with you in order to take the test. This is a timed 12-minute test. You must arrive one hour before closing, so be sure to check the current Îá°®³Ô¹Ï Testing Center hours of operation

  3. Prepare for Registration: Make an appointment with an Enrollment Specialist to declare your major and get registration clearance.
  4. Prepare for Additional Required Expenses:
    • Textbooks: $200
    • Tools: approximately $2,000 depending on quality and brand and preference

     

    DO NOT purchase any of these items before you are officially accepted to the program!

  5. Meet with Instructor: Schedule an appointment with program manager  to discuss next steps.
