- The students, teachers, and learning environment at Îá°®³Ô¹Ï.
- Key Canvas skills and course development you will need to be ready for day one of classes.
- We prepared a very brief Canvas course to introduce you to these basics, and we'll work with you individually to identify and help you to attain your course development goals. Please . Note, you'll need your Îá°®³Ô¹Ï credentials to log in. If you don't have them, please contact the Îá°®³Ô¹Ï Help Desk.
- Continue to offer support, enrichment, and resources throughout your first teaching year with monthly activities and training provided by Îá°®³Ô¹Ï learning designers. We'll focus on actionable principles of design and pedagogy, and connect you with opportunities to observe other faculty teaching.
- Host you and all incoming faculty for the Îá°®³Ô¹Ï Learning Lab, held on Îá°®³Ô¹Ï's beautiful Twin Falls campus each August. Here we will celebrate your arrival, connect you with returning faculty, and begin answering your questions and providing training as you prepare for the semester.
Part-time/Adjunct Instructor
We recognize that our excellent part-time instructors balance many commitments! We cannot overemphasize, however, that an investment of your time initially in new instructor onboarding will save you time later and do much to help you to start smoothly as a new, part-time or adjunct Îá°®³Ô¹Ï instructor:
- Please ensure you have completed your new hire paperwork with HR, have active Îá°®³Ô¹Ï log in credentials, and have worked with Îá°®³Ô¹Ï's IT Department to complete your Multi-Factor Authentication set up.
- Meet with your department chair to gain access to any course materials you will need, such as syllabi, physical course content, curriculum guides, or similar.
- Participate in New Instructor Onboarding - a short training course that will highlight:
- Important Îá°®³Ô¹Ï processes and resources you need to know about.
- The students, teachers, and learning environment at Îá°®³Ô¹Ï.
- Key Canvas skills and course development you will need to be ready for day one of classes.
- We prepared a very brief Canvas course to introduce you to these basics, and we'll work with you individually to identify and help you to attain your course development goals. Please . - Additionally, you are invited to activities we offer all instructors at Îá°®³Ô¹Ï, as your time and needs allow. Some opportunities are offered virtually! Please keep an eye on your Îá°®³Ô¹Ï email for timely invitations.
Dual Credit Instructor
Îá°®³Ô¹Ï's dual credit instructors are a much-needed resource at the college, teaching classes to give students opportunity to earn college credits affordably. Through adherance to college-level teaching standards and alignment with defined academic outcomes, you help students to build academic confidence and readiness.
