Scheduling and paying for the practice or official GED® exams must be done directly through GED® by going to or by calling 1-877-EXAM-GED (1-877-392-6433).
GED® also offers practice tests. The practice test results will tell you if you are ready to take the official tests. GED Ready® tests are recommended but are only required if you choose the online GED® test option. The practice tests can be taken anywhere you have internet services.
Each official subject test costs $36, for a total of $144. Re-takes of a single subject are $10 each. Practice tests are usually $7.99 each.
